TPTBT (The Place to Be Tonight): Friday, April 5

Who: The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Don Davis
What: The Matrix
Where: Powell Hall
When: Friday and Saturday at 7 PM
Why: "Enter the alternate reality of The Matrix as the STL Symphony performs the futuristic soundtrack of the science fiction thriller. Machine rebellions and raining computer code create a dream world that questions reality in this modern cult classic."  No matter how good the sound system is at your local megaplex, there's nothing quite like the sound of a live orchestra and chorus accompanying the movie.  Besides, conductor Don Davis also happens to be the composer of the score, so the performance will presumably be authoritative.  These movie events are always great fun, with popcorn, drink specials, and permission to bring your drinks into the hall.
