The Friends of Stray Dog Theatre present 10 Seasons: A Fundraising Cabaret, featuring singers from past and upcoming Stray Dog Theatre shows, on Saturday, September 22. The performance starts at 8 with a reception, including Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, at 7 PM. Performers include Ryan Cooper, Jamie Lynn Marble, Deborah Sharn, Leslie Sikes, Jessica Tilghman, Zach Wachter, and Jeffrey M. Wright. The Cabaret Project presents a cabaret open mic night on Wednesday, September 19, from 7 to 10 PM at the Tavern of Fine Arts. “Drop by and enjoy a night of great music from St. Louis cabaret artists, backed up by the inimitable Carol Schmidt on the baby grand.” The special guest MC master of ceremonies for the evening will be actor, comic, and 88.1 KDHX theatre reviewer Robert Mitchell. If you're planning to sing, be prepared to do one or two songs and bring music, preferably in your key. It's also recommend that you have your song memorized.
