TPTBT (The Place to Be Tonight): Thursday, February 14
Celebrate Valentine's Day the Flamenco way as The St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society brings authentic Flamenco music to Tavern of Fine Arts tonight at 7:30 with Noche Flamenca, featuring vocalist Cristo Cortes and guitarist Ricardo Diaz. "A Gypsy, Cristo Cortes has one of the most exceptional voices in flamenco. Raw and emotional, most of his music is flamenco at its most traditional. If you want authentic flamenco sung by a singer, Cristo Cortes is your number one choice. Ricardo Diaz has performed throughout the world and has performed extensively in the U.S. and Europe with Cristo Cortes and Flamenco Sur. He has performed at Festivals in Seville, Vancouver, Albuquerque, Avignon, Grenoble and Mont de Marsan." The Tavern of Fine Arts is at 313 Belt, between Pershing and Waterman in the Debaliviere Place neighborhood. Free parking is available in the lot across the street. The Tavern features a nice wine and drinks selection along with a menu of sandwiches, flatbreads, and other goodies.
